Hey guys,

I've been reading these forums for weeks gathering as much information as I can.

Long story short, I am 31, for the past 10+ years of my life I have intermittently gone through very tough periods of time with no energy, lack of sleep, not much sex drive, lack of ambition. I have been to the doctor so many times and have had essentially everything checked out.. and finally I demanded to have my T checked and refered to a specialist. I do not smoke or drink and have never used steroids and consider myself pretty healthy and generally pretty active(less so in the winter)

CBC always perfectly in range, LDL Cholesterol slightly high but Dr has never been worried as Triglycerides are mid range. I attempted to highlight out of range results in red, I may have missed some of the results copying from the online portal so if I'm missing anything important I may have it.

I am now seeing a urologist who after looking at 2 months worth of my bloodwork, and knowing that I would want kids in the future put me on 1500 units 3x weekly of HCG. The doctor has not followed up on the one month bloodwork which was done 3 weeks ago.

Almost immediately I felt better in the first 2-3 weeks on HCG and I had tons of energy, crazy sex drive and was generally a lot happier and less moody. The effects slowly waned, the sex drive somewhat stayed but I am no longer as "hard" as I was the first couple weeks.

After 1 month+ on HCG now I am very moody, and more emotionally unstable and as exhausted as I was before HCG; my bloodwork says my estradial has skyrocketed but I'm not really sure what to make of it. I am terrified of gyno(and don't have any symptoms yet) gyno aside I just want to feel great and accomplish things and be healthy.

Any advice on how to proceed, pending my doctor getting back to me of course; I also have a followup visit with him in January.

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like your testosterone spiked giving you good results, then estrogen spiked creating your current issues. Probably want to switch over to a traditional TRT program with HCG as an ancillary.

It sounds like your dosage could use a reduction as you overshot your mark, note that AIs can't affect estrogen produced inside the testicles, so if you find yourself unable to decrease estrogen, this would be why.

Your HCG dosage is insane, normally you never want to inject more than 500iu at once. I would try 500iu twice weekly and see how you do.

you will be fine man, your just taking way too much. you could immediately reduce to 500 , 2 or 3 times per week.
personally i dont like spiking things like that , 300-400 EOD is where its at. you gotta accept your T levels on HCG mono, dont keep going higher and higher in dosage. It wont bring your T up much , but E will go crazy.

huge variation in individual response, some guys can do mono at 100 iu daily and have midrange testosterone levels. being younger and showing your good response in levels so far, you could be fine with a very low dose.

What other guys have said. Don’t want to inject more than 500iu’s at one time. I got my ex pregnant by accident while on testosterone and 1000iu’s of HCG per week.

All you need to do is inject 1000-1500iu’s per week and you should be fine. You might want to use closer to 1500iu’s because the HCG will shut down your natural production, so you’re relying 100% on the HCG for all your testosterone production. You might even need around 2000iu’s while on HCG mono to feel good. I would probably start with 1500iu’s per week and see how you feel.

Almost every doctor starts people out too high. It’s like your 100lb wife being tired so you give her a Bang mixed with C4 preworkout powder.

Look doc, my estrogen is 10x.

I would try 500 3x/wk or 250-300 per day.

Thanks for the responses I am now taking 500 units 3x weekly, hopefully that resolves the high estrogen. A shame my doctor has not called me back in the 3 weeks since my blood tests.

Take care!

I did hear from the forum that Hcg will convert more to estrogen than Testosterone injections

Theres quite a bit of aromatase that can occur in the testes and that kind of direct stim that you get from HCG, and Clomid, tends to have that effect. Also as noted by my friend @Systemlord AI's are much less effective in the testicular environment vs elsewhere in the body where aromatase can occur, like the liver.

hey just to clarify...

Injecting HCG shuts down LH production correct ?

I didn’t think that it shutdown T production.

Hi All,

Yes HCG will shut down LH but it acts like LH and when one stops HCG LH will or should start back up again.

I am A mod at Yahoo's form for low T been one for over many years I have had a few men on HCG only for low T and the same thing happened to them high levels of E2.

Before trying a E2 med like Arimedx or Aromasion first try some DIM this worked for most men at my form at Yahoo.

Ya HCG shuts down LH and FSH, and therefore shuts down endogenous testosterone production.
Only the first part. HCG stimulates endogenous production of testosterone and estradiol, which through negative feedback at the hypothalamus and pituitary shuts off LH and FSH. In essence, the exogenous hCG is overriding and replacing the endogenous LH.

Oh good point. HCG shuts down LH and FSH from your brain to your testicles. But HCG stimulate your testicles to produce testosterone. So technically, the testosterone produced by HCG is endogenous testosterone.

Be careful with hcg monotherapy...
I did the same but with 250iu every third day for two and half month. I have currectly gyno issues and high estrogen... i took ai and nolvadex aswell but when i lower the dose, suddenly come pain in my brest. First two week was amazin on hcg after was not so...
Ive stopped hcg two month ago and i have estrogen problems now... my e2 always higher than normal... i take now 0.5mg arimidex which sometimes work, sometimes not than i take more and i crush my e2 level and i felt horrible! My advice stop it! After i did nolvadex for 6 weeks in my post you can see my actually problem with thyroid...
