Headed to south America. I'm on doc prescirbed test cyp and HCG. Im not checking a bag, only taking a carry on. Should I have any problems with my insulin syringes in my bag, or the liquid of my meds when going through security?

The worst country for me has been Canada. They profile me ( I think my Latino looks and being muscular) even though I went to school at McGill in Montreal. Every single time I fly into that country, they send me into a room in which a bunch of people of color (yes, usually not one white person) stands in line to get their bags opened and inspected. Without fail, they find my meds and start questioning me. Gladly, I have a letter from my doctor for injectables and I mention that I am HIV+ and they quickly try to get rid of me as they feel I will infect them with my presence. I travel a lot and this only happens in that country.

Sounds like you've developed a perfect system for being left alone quite quickly. haha Thanks for all the helpful info. I normally just put my stuff in my checked bags and Ive never had a problem, but I am not checking a bag this time.

John - Let us know how it goes! After having my bags lost on my way to Ireland a few years ago, putting my meds in my carry-on sounds far more appealing.

I always carry a double dose just for that reason, A full unopened box of Testogel in checked in luggage and same in my carry-on, I always travel to USA and so far no problem

I have never had a problem, I always bring a copy of my script from the pharmacy and keep all my meds, needles etc in one bag in my carry on. Surprisingly Nelson, I have never had a problem leaving or returning from Canada! I guess I'm not as pumped as you! LOL :)

Most, if not all countries in South America sell Testosterone over the counter as if it were aspirin. I can speak for Colombia and Brazil as far as South America goes and ditto for Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Therefore you won’t have a problem at all in those countries.
When you return to the United States you could potentially have a problem but as long as you have a prescription with the accompanying paperwork everything will be fine, especially when the Testosterone is prescribed by an American doctor.
