My new testosterone cream prescription reads - 200mg/ml. Apply 1ml twice a day. Does this mean I would be taking 400mg per day, total??
Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems like a massive amount for someone just starting out. Am I wrong?
My nurse told me she gets concerned if a man's E2 hits 70 due to increased risk of cancer. I did some Googling and came up empty except for a possible increase in breast cancer risk(for men). Is there any strong correlation between elevated E2 and cancer in men...
Based on symptoms and these labs, my nurse is willing to put me on TRT. My symptoms are irritability/temper, low libido, brain fog, less enjoyment from daily life..
I'm 63, 6'2", 185. Resistance train 4 days a week. Not obese. Any comments on my labs would be appreciated. Thanks.
Total T...
Can anyone offer an opinion as to this doctor's approach and ideas about TRT? My nurse says I'm ready for TRT, and she refers to Dr. Hertoghe's expertise. Thanks
@Dr. Justin Saya MD, what are your concerns with elevated DHT and the prostate? You've implied in other threads that there could be problems. I'd like your take on why there is cause for concern. Thanks.
The quote here was from your past discussion with Dr. Nichols. You mention DHT/prostate...
Not sure about this E2 test. I ordered the sensitive assay, which confused the phlebotomist at the hospital. She said she'd never seen such an assay. Clearly, my blood sugar needs attention. Maybe I'll be a candidate for metformin? I think it's genetic since my mother is type II. I'm far...
I'm looking for a Life Extension article on estradiol that has been criticized as being flawed in its conclusions. A Search didn't bring it up. Any help? I want to show it to my FNP.
I'm referring to something Nelson posted here:
Role of Estradiol in Men and Its Management
"Not one study...
I just received this in my email. The science behind it is linked to at the bottom of the page. I'll let the smarter guys wade through that.
News of an NAD+ breakthrough by Nuchido's scientific team
On 1/14/19 TT...603, FT...15.7
On 4/8/19 TT...711, FT...14.4
I'm not on TRT. I'm pretty sure no doctor would prescribe TRT with my TT numbers. But, can my FT be raised without TRT? I have no other lab numbers pertaining to SHBG, E2...I guess these are okay numbers for a 61 year old, but...
My wife just hit 50, and is fed up with her menopausal symptoms. Her primary physician is worthless, so I got her an appt with a female FNP who supposedly has much experience in HRT for women. Now, I know what questions to ask a physician concerning male HRT, but haven't a clue what my wife...
If I wanted to have a sample of NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) tested for purity, is there a specific type of lab I would want to seek out? Labs in my area seem to do mostly water, and cannabis testing.
who would you trust for treatment? Is there a particular doctor or medical group, university, that is on the cutting edge? I do not have prostate cancer, but I want my ducks in a row. My FNP suggested Loma Linda University in Ca. He said they have photon radiation which "eliminates it" (his...
Physiologically, is there an optimal time of the day or evening to apply testosterone, scrotally, assuming once a day?
If I work out at the gym at 9-9:30AM, and apply the testosterone at noon, what will my energy level be like at 9AM-9:30AM considering it would be ~21 hours since my last...
By "top quality" I mean in terms of purity, freshness, strength...I'm already aware of Nelson's recommendation, Nordic Naturals, but are there others?
I've been using a bottom shelf brand, but I'm going to switch after reading about rancidity in many brands.
The recent estrogen-AI hot topic has found its way into bodybuilding. And, not just for the guys on a cycle. I enjoyed their discussion there. Learned a few things, too
new thoughts on estrogen control - Professional Muscle
If he's willing to respond here, I'd like to know Dr. Saya's position on the use of AI's in estradiol management. Does he try to keep men's estradiol within a narrow range...?
I ask because of something Nelson posted in another thread regarding former patients of Dr. Crisler and Defy. Defy...
In a podcast, Dr. Gordon made this remark which I think may be worthy of discussion in light of some guys wanting to go on testosterone as a monotherapy.
"...we used to get patients coming to us who are on testosterone four to six months later. They say, you know doc at the beginning of...
I'm 61, 6'2", 170lbs, and not on HRT.
June 2018 I ran total and free T labs. Results were 368 for total T, 8.83 for free T. My FNP said I was not a candidate for TRT due to the 368 total T.
Jan 2019, I ran the same labs. Results are 609 for total T, and 15 for freeT.
The lifestyle changes...
So, Dr. K states that long term use of AIs does damage, at least with regards to bone density, in all men except for the odd outlier, regardless of dosage. This is, of course, diametrically opposed to Dr. Crisler's position, who has frequently stated that there are no studies showing harm when...
Regarding the recent interview with Dr. Rouzier on the benefits of estradiol in men, he cites numerous studies which have been deemed as "flawed" by some of the members here. Dr. Crisler regards them as "invalid", I believe, due to the inaccurate immunoassays upon which they are based.
If...
I was wondering if any of you have ever perused that forum. They have an HRT sub-forum, as well as all the anabolic cycles talk elsewhere in the main forum. What a curious world they have. I'm surprised how many of the guys there on TRT are running there own labs and self-administering their...
