Hi all,

After yrs. of being mod for low T I need help on E2 testing in the last few labs we did both the Estradiol test and the sensitive Estradiol.

The reg. Estradiol comes back high above the top of the range the sensitive test shows below normal.

I have Peripheral Neuropathy from Statin Use and am in a lot of pain when I stand up or try to walk with my walker. I fell some time ago and hit my side on the dresser. So when I stand up to walk my side hurts.

After a time I had a urine test and it showed I have an infection after treating this it's gone.

Yet I still have this pain in my side when I go to the bath room #2 and lean over to wipe my self it hurts.

It's hard for me to tell now with this Neuropathy if my joint pain is from low E2 or the Neruropathy.

I take a lot of Aromasin to keep my E2 in check but it changes from time to time.

Now I am thinking I am to low.

What kind of reading to you guys get the do the sensitive E2 test my last one was 3.1 bottom of the range is 8.

I cut back on my E2 meds from 4 pills to 3 and I think I am still to low. I take 2 pills at 3am and when I wake up I would 2 more. I noticed before taking the other 2 pills at 8am. I have strong morning wood this makes me think I only need 2 pills a day now.

Can you guys tell me what your E2 sensitive labs are at.

Phil

There's a good chance your estradiol is much too low. I had simultaneous tests for estradiol last time and the sensitive was 30 pg/mL and the regular was 35 pg/mL. When both tests are done right the difference for me is pretty consistent. Without an AI readings were more like 50 and 56 respectively.

The regular test can respond to other molecules, and in particular C-reactive protein. Because elevated CRP is not a good thing you may want to test your level. A final caveat is that occasionally the sensitive test can be completely wrong. I've had it return half the correct value a couple times now. So you might also consider a retest to confirm.

Thank you I will check this out I don't want to go back to high for men it's worse then being low.
I doubt that you've copied some one else's screen name from the multitude of other forums that you frequent but let's note the amount of times that you've copied and pasted this magical E2 and AI dosing thing that you do that you play as so miraculous and how it easy it is to work this AI and E angle but then here you are with this problem...very curious indeed.

Too, you never divulge how much Aromasin you use but do purposely get very vague about it.

"Prince of the forums" at all AllThingsMale...8500 posts yet this very vague thread here of basically noob information.

Did you copy this guys pmgamer18 profile here for ExcelMale?

Vince,

Yes I am pmgamer18 don't understand what your trying to say. I take 25 mgs. of Exemestane (Aremasin) now 2x's/day down from 4. Yes I have posted a ton of info about E2 and did well on my dose.

Never could figure out why the 2 E2 tests showed different levels but we stopped testing both a long time ago. Now that I am having more pain then normal I had the sensitive test done. It came back at a low level I have never seen before 3.1 bottom of the range 8.

I feel like I am OK still have morning wood yet now that I cut back on the amount of pills my wood is waking me up. So I will see what happens on less.

Wait, am I reading this correctly? You take 25mg of Aromasin twice per day?

Omg, I literally cannot believe you have any E2 in your body at all lol. Consider yourself extremely lucky if your E2 ever comes back above zero.
My E2 is above zero at 3.1 and I have been at this for yrs. it comes up very fast at one time I needed 5pills /day. There are other men on TRT that have the same problem.

Most men cant take Aromasin at all.

3.1? Aren’t you worried about osteoporosis and everything else that goes along with having basically zero estrogen in your body?

If that's 3.1 pg/ml then yes you have bottomed out big time.
Is there any particular reason you're using Aromasin and not Arimidex/Anastrozole?

Hi all,
I don't know what to believe the reg. E2 tests show me to high above the top of the range. Now every time I do the sensitive test it would show me lower. Now a little about me I am a mod at Yahoo for men with low T been one for yrs.

I am not new to all this been helping men for yrs. I don't gauge my E2 levels by labs I go by how I feel. If I have rem sleep wood and can get it up for sex I know my E2 is good. When my E2 is too high I have panic attacks.

Yet this last test I had then test the sensitive E2 test never seen this low that is why I posted. I wanted to see what other levels men are getting.

Oh ok, so having an E2 this low is abnormal for you? It usually comes back higher? And feeling good and having good sexual function is obviously extremely important, but I personally would never allow my E2 to continuously sit at 3.1, regardless of how good I felt. At that level, your risk for osteoporosis increases greatly, risk for a cardiovascular event increases greatly, risk for neurodegenerative brain disorders increases greatly, the list obviously goes on and on. So do you plan on trying to raise your E2 at all, or are you going to wait until you get another set of labs done to make sure this was accurate, and not a lab error?

Ok a little history back in the day many yrs. ago there was only one Estradiol out and this is what men had to go by.

Then the new sanative Estradiol test came out and it did not work right showed men to low most of the time. Doing this test and lowing or stopping there E2 meds messed them up big time.

It took a long time to get this new test working right so I have not used it because even doing both tests the reg. test showed me good and the sensitive showed me very low.

I don't continuously keep my E2 at 3.1 this was the result of my last test doing the sensitive E2 test after not using it for many yrs.

If you read my post from the start you would see I lowered my dose from 4 pills a day to 2. I am not going on less pills until my next test it is just nuts to make big changes on just one lab.

So far I feel the same not to low or to high And I am only doing because my Dr. told me to do this.

Ya makes sense. Wasn’t attacking you, was just curious. So how are you feeling on such an extremely high dose of ai, and with apparently very low E2? How’s libido, erection quality, mood, sleep etc?

I am 75 yrs. old now and had Heart Bypass surgery it went bad got an infection and they needed to put me in a coma for 14 weeks until they got it fixed. When I was sent home the surgeon put me on Statin drugs.

This caused me a lot of pain and gave me Peripheral Neuropathy from Statin Use in my body. I am not in a lot of pain off the statin drugs but have a lot of pain standing up and trying to walk. I use a walker and can walk far using it.

So it's hard to tell if using less AI is helping with my pain but so far I still have rem sleep wood and not feeling panic.

But it's to soon to tell.

Hi all,

Today I flat out stopped taking the Aromasin I want to see if some of the new pain I am having will go away. If I have a problem I will just go back on it but starting with one half a pill / day.

I have talked to a lot of people about the Sensitive Estradiol test and all say it now works and is the best test for men.

It might take me about a week to see a change.

Phil before you started the Statin did you get your Coq-10 levels check? Or at least after you started the Statin. Statin will lower your Coq-10 levels and cause many issues. It's a pretty inexpensive test, I've had my levels checked.

Hi Vince,

When I came out of the coma I had to learn how to think and talk. So I could not fight being put on statins and don't know if the Hosp. tested my CoQ10.

But months later when I could not get out of bed and walk my family Dr. tested CoQ10 and it was so low he could not believe it. And had the lab re run it he then put me on CoQ10 400 mgs. 3x's / day after talking to my heart Dr. This did not work very well so I did some research on it found out older people need to use Ubiquinol I buy it from Mercola.com find this is the best out there. Today my CoQ10 levels are at the top of the range taking 200 mgs. 3x's / day.
